- "A process for synthesis of rigid polyurethane foam with either partial or complete replacement of polyol with the soyhulls was developed. The process relies on substitution of polyol with partially hydrolyzed soyhulls in water-blown poly-urethane formulations...The results of the study showed that the rigid polyurethane with low cost soyhull exhibit comparable or superior mechanical properties to rigid polyurethane roams fabricated with polyols. Soyhull foams not only exhibit excellent structural strength but also possess good insulating properties"--Conclusions, leaf 62
